Cannes Now

Today one of the most important film festivals in the world will begin and about 20 movies will compete to get Palme d'Or. This year's jury will be headed by one of my favorite directors - Emir Kusturica - and Abbas Kiarostami – famous Iranian director – is the president of Camera D'or jury. This year, there is no Iranian movie in the competition section but the first movie directed by Iranian actress – Niki Karimi - named 'One Night' (Yek Shab) will be shown in Un Certain Regard section.

Hello Hamid,

Our mutual friend Khodadad wrote a post about your blog. So, I decided to visit and check out your site. I like your cartoon drawing style! You obviously have a great deal of talent. I wonder, are you familiar with Legofish? He is also an excellent artist. If you do not already know of him, you might enjoy his web site: http://legofish.com/home.html

I noticed that Shideh seems to be a frequent visitor. I started visiting her English blog over a year ago. That is where I first met Khodadad. Legofish is also a friend of Shideh's. That is why I think you may already know him.

You are welcome to visit my blog. I am not an artist, but I try to write interesting posts, sometimes illustrated by pictures.
