The Cultural Thieves and Doxdo!

Do you remember my previous post on Copyright in Iran? That was about foreign movies, but Iranian artists and journalists have this problem too. You can find a lot of writings and photos that are being published everyday in newspapers and magazine, without the author's permission. During recent months, several photographers and journalists have objected to these robberies (yes, it's a robbery), but it has not been stopped yet.
Arash, one of the photojournalists I've ever known, has written about one of his works that has been published in Etemad Melli daily, without his permission. They have downloaded his photo from his photoblog, then have erased the copyright logo and then have published it without the photographer's name!
It's a big robbery, isn't?!

Doxdo indexes the latest posts in some Persian weblogs, may be most important of them. It's a very useful website for reading a lot of weblogs in short time. But today, Mehdi, Doxdo's owner, announced that the English version is UP!
As you've guessed the English Doxdo only indexes English weblogs by Iranians. If you're Iranian and write an English weblog which is not in this page, you can send an email to Mehdi (mehdi [at] doxdo [dot] com) and inform him.
