Lars is here!
4-5 months ago, I met a journalist from Denmark who had come Iran to write some articles about Iranians, culture and society. We talked about films and movies too and she asked me that I know Lars VonTrier or not, and I answered her yes, he is one of my favorite directors and Dogville is a masterpiece in these years.
Today I bought the last issue of 'Haft' magazine (haft means Seven in Persian), this is a very good and readable cultural magazine. Every issue of Haft has a main section about a major film or book or theatre. This month's top section is about 'Five Obstructions', a strange movie by Jorgen Leth and Lars VonTrier. 5 obstructions is based on a black and white movie named 'Perfect Human' by Jorgen Leth (1967) which is called by Von Trier the best movie he has ever seen. Five... has five episodes that at the beginning of every episode Von Trier want Leth to make another 'Perfect Human'...
I've been so eager to watch this strange film. Have you seen it?
I suggest you to buy this issue of Haft, if you live in Iran. It has two interviews with Mohammad Rahmanian and Farhad Ayish about Nekrasov too.
